At $269.99 the Lectron 40A is a plug-in portable that delivers 9.6 kW from any NEMA 14-50 outlet with no wall unit to mount. Satisfaction sits at 90 and value at 84, but features fall to 50 and warranty to 66: there is no app, no scheduling and no way to dial amperage down, so the outlet has to be on a full 50A breaker, and the 16 ft cable is short next to the 25 ft standard elsewhere. Coverage runs two years, and only 149 reviews back a brand with mixed long-term reports. It misses the buy line on flexibility, not output, and suits travel duty over daily use.
