DeWalt DCK1021D2 10-Tool
20V MAX 10-tool kit with brushless drill/impact · Reviewed by Drew · amazon.com live, Sept 28 2026
Why it scored a 82
At $649 this ten-tool set is the widest single purchase in the group, and the rubric agrees on breadth: features score 86, quality 80 and satisfaction 92, with value at 76. The upgrade that matters is the core — the brushless DCD777 drill and DCF787 impact driver replace the older brushed pair — while the saws, grinder and oscillating tool remain the standard brushed models and the two 2.0Ah packs will feel short under the circular saw and grinder. The SKU is also new enough that only 222 reviews exist. Best for a homeowner who wants one box to cover everything.

Should you buy the DeWalt DCK1021D2 10-Tool?
The DeWalt DCK1021D2 10-Tool is for a homeowner who wants one box to cover everything: cutting, grinding, cleaning up and playing music while they do it. It ranks #3 of 10 in our Cordless Tool Combo Kits category at $681.45 and includes the same brushless drill and impact driver as the top-ranked DCK277D2. If you only need three or four of these tools, the DeWalt DCK551D1M1 5-Tool costs $130 less; if you want the highest score per dollar, the DCK277D2 is the pick.
Where it earns its score
- Features at 86. Ten tools including a wet/dry vac, Bluetooth speaker, 4-1/2 in grinder, recip saw and 6-1/2 in circular saw.
- Brushless core. The DCD777 drill and DCF787 impact driver are the same brushless pair from the category leader.
- Best price per tool. About $65 per tool, versus roughly $217 per tool for the Makita XT328M.
- Full coverage. 3-year limited warranty and 90-day money back.
What to know first
- Value is the lowest factor at 76. Breadth costs money, and some of these tools will sit in the bag.
- Saws and grinder are brushed. Only the drill and impact are brushless; the recip, circular saw, grinder and multi-tool are older motors.
- 2.0Ah packs are small. The grinder and circular saw drain them quickly. Most owners add a 5.0Ah pack.
- Heavy set. 44.9 lb across two bags.
Our verdict
The DeWalt DCK1021D2 10-Tool scores 82, a Good Buy, with Satisfaction (92) and Features (86) leading. Buy it if you are outfitting a garage from zero and want it done in one order. If you only need a drill and driver, the DeWalt DCK277D2 (85) at $179 is the better value.
