Schwinn IC4
App-agnostic Bluetooth spin bike · Reviewed by Drew · amazon.com live, Sept 28 2026
Why it scored a 84
At $795.99 the Schwinn IC4 is the go-to Peloton alternative, a 100-level magnetic bike with a 40 lb flywheel that pairs with the Peloton app, Zwift or JRNY for about a third of a Peloton's price. Warranty leads at 95 thanks to ten years on the frame, Satisfaction sits at 90, and Reliability at 88. Features settles at 74 because there is no built-in screen or auto resistance, and its 100 levels do not map to Peloton's scale, so riders rely on community conversion charts. No subscription is required. It is for app-agnostic riders who want a smooth, quiet bike and bring their own tablet.

Should you buy the Schwinn IC4?
Buy the Schwinn IC4 if you want Peloton-style classes on your own tablet without paying Peloton prices for the hardware. It is a 40 lb flywheel magnetic spin bike with 100 resistance levels, Bluetooth to the Peloton, Zwift, Kinomap and JRNY apps, and dual-sided pedals that take SPD cleats or regular shoes. At $795 it lands between the budget Echelon EX-15 and the Keiser M3i Bundle, and for most home riders it is the sensible middle. It is our top-ranked indoor bike in this category.
Where it earns its score
- Warranty is the highest factor at 95. Ten years on the frame, three on parts and one on electronics is the strongest coverage of any bike here.
- Works with the apps you already use. Bluetooth pairs to Peloton, Zwift, Kinomap and JRNY, so you pick the platform.
- Ready for either shoe. One side of each pedal takes SPD clips, the other has toe cages.
- Useful extras in the box. A Bluetooth heart-rate armband, 3 lb dumbbells and a media rack are included.
What to know first
- No auto resistance. Instructors call out Peloton resistance numbers and the IC4 uses its own 1 to 100 scale, so keep a conversion chart handy.
- Features is the lowest factor at 74. There is no built-in screen. Bring a tablet or phone.
- It is a heavy bike. 112 lb on a 54.6 by 30.7 inch footprint. It rolls on wheels but you will not carry it upstairs alone.
- Quality trails the Keiser. The IC4 scores 80 on Quality against the Keiser M3i's 96.
Our verdict
The Schwinn IC4 scores 84, a Good Buy, and is the bike we would point most people to in this category. It beats the Peloton Bike+ (80) on Value by a wide margin and costs a third as much. Step up to the Keiser M3i Bundle (82, $2,985) only if you want true watts and commercial-grade build.

Questions buyers ask
Can the Schwinn IC4 be used with the Peloton app?
Yes. It connects to the Peloton app over Bluetooth for cadence, but resistance is manual and uses Schwinn's 1 to 100 scale, so riders use a conversion chart to match instructor cues.
Does the Schwinn IC4 come with a screen?
No. It has a media rack for a tablet or phone, and streams data over Bluetooth to apps like Peloton, Zwift, Kinomap and JRNY.
What is the Schwinn IC4 warranty?
Ten years on the frame, three years on parts and one year on electronics, which is the best coverage among the indoor bikes we rank.
