The verdict
Why it scored a 79
Still the best-sounding Dot and a rock-solid Alexa device, but the August 2026 price hike from $49.99 to $79.99 knocks Value down hard — it is now double the Echo Pop for a modest step up in sound. Satisfaction and Reliability stay high on years of real-world use; wait for a sale unless you specifically want the temperature sensor and tap gestures.
