The verdict

Why it scored a 78

At $299, this is the cheapest GE Opal ever built, and Value leads the score at 84. Features trail at 78 since there's no side tank and reviewers can't agree whether app control is actually included despite GE listing Wi-Fi. Warranty sits at just 55, 1 year only, and with the line brand-new since July 2026 there's no track record yet — earlier Opals were known to fail within a year or two once out of warranty.
