The Baratza Encore ESP is for someone starting on espresso who also brews filter coffee and prefers simple controls. At $199.95 it ranks #7 of 10 in our Coffee & Espresso Grinders category. For the same money the Breville Smart Grinder Pro adds a timer, portafilter cradles and a 4.5-star average. If you never make espresso, the Baratza Encore is $50 less.
