The Anycubic Kobra S1 Combo is an enclosed CoreXY printer bundled with the ACE Pro four-spool unit, which also dries filament, for $499.99. On specs it looks like a Bambu P-series rival: 250 mm cube volume, 600 mm/s max speed, a 320C hotend and an AI camera. It ranks ninth of our ten 3D printers because reliability reports have not matched the spec sheet. It is for the buyer who wants enclosure plus multicolor at this price and is comfortable troubleshooting.

Where it earns its score

• Features score of 88. Enclosure, four-color ACE Pro, filament drying, AI camera, belt-tension monitoring and power-loss resume.
• ACE Pro dries filament. The multi-spool unit doubles as a dryer, a feature Bambu charges extra for.
• Expandable to eight colors. A second ACE Pro doubles the spool count.
• Hot end rated to 320C. Enough for nylon and other higher-temperature materials inside the enclosure.

What to know first

• Reliability scores 68 and Satisfaction 72. CreativeBloq reported repeated error messages and multiple hardware failures within three weeks, and those numbers are the lowest in the category.
• Warranty is the weakest factor at 55. One year standard, which matters more when reliability is in question.
• Value scores 80. At $499.99 it costs nearly the same as the Bambu A1 Combo and the Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 Combo.
• Support experience varies. Anycubic's support is slower than Bambu's by most accounts.
