Real GPS and LTE tracking in a 25-gram unit for $49.99 (often $24.50–34.99), and since Tractive absorbed Whistle's US customers when Whistle shut down in August 2025 it is the default cellular tracker. Features leads at 86, but a subscription is required at $108/yr Basic or $120/yr Premium with annual-only billing, so the hardware is the cheap part. Battery drops to about a day in LIVE mode, GPS drifts indoors, and it is bulky on cats under about 7 lb; Warranty is the softest at 66 on a 2-year term.

The Tractive GPS CAT Mini is the tracker for a cat that goes outside and an owner who wants real satellite positioning rather than the crowd-sourced approach of an AirTag. At about 25 grams it is one of the few cellular GPS units small enough for a cat collar, and it ships on a breakaway collar for safety. The trade is a subscription of $108 to $120 a year. Indoor-only cats in a dense neighborhood are better served by the cheaper Apple AirTag + GOCII holder.
