Who it's for

Should you buy the Goal Zero Yeti 1500 + Nomad 200 Kit?

The Yeti 1500 + Nomad 200 kit is a complete solar setup from a brand with a long outdoor pedigree. We score it below our usual buy line because the same money buys more capacity and more solar elsewhere; it's here for the buyer who specifically wants Goal Zero.

What stands out

Where it earns its score

  • 1,505 Wh station plus a 200 W folding panel. One purchase, nothing else needed.
  • Quality 85, Satisfaction 88. Goal Zero's build and support are well regarded.
  • Goal Zero's ecosystem. Expansion tanks and vehicle integration kits exist for the Yeti line.
Before you buy

What to know first

  • $1,499.95. The Jackery Explorer 2000 v2 solar bundle has 35% more capacity and twice the panel wattage for $385 less.
  • 200 W panel for 1.5 kWh. A full solar recharge takes 9–18 hours of sun.
  • Value 60. Sold direct rather than on Amazon, so no affiliate link; our link goes to Goal Zero.
Bottom line

Our verdict

This kit scores 74, just under our 75 buy threshold. It's a good product priced against better ones; buy the Jackery 2000 v2 solar bundle unless brand loyalty decides it.
