The caveats are weight and law: 54.2 pounds is hard to carry upstairs, the folded footprint is wide, some owners report firmware quirks and rattling suspension pivots, and 28 mph is over the legal e-scooter limit in many cities. It suits long daily commutes with garage storage.

The Segway Ninebot MAX G3 is the 2025 flagship commuter, built for long daily rides with garage storage at both ends. A 2000W peak motor, 28 mph top speed, 597 Wh battery, dual adjustable hydraulic suspension, 11 inch self-sealing tires and dual disc brakes make it the most complete commuter Segway sells. At $749.99 it costs $300 more than the MAX G2 and scores one point lower, because the extra money is buying performance that many riders cannot legally use. Choose the G2 unless your commute is long and your roads allow the speed.
