Samsonite Winfield 2 2pc
Polycarbonate hardside 2-piece set · Reviewed by Katie · amazon.com live, Sept 28 2026
Why it scored a 83
At $289.99 the Samsonite Winfield 2 two-piece set is the squarer, higher-capacity sibling of the Omni PC, pairing the carry-on with the largest 28-inch size instead of a 24. Reliability leads at 92 and Warranty scores 95 on the ten-year term, since polycarbonate flexes rather than cracks. Value settles at 80 because the pair costs more than the Omni set, and Features at 72 on noisy single spinner wheels. The carry-on stands about 23 inches with wheels, over some airline limits, and a packed, expanded 28-inch bag can approach 50-pound checked caps. It suits travelers who want maximum checked capacity from a durable Samsonite shell.

Should you buy the Samsonite Winfield 2 2pc?
The Samsonite Winfield 2 2pc is the Omni PC's squarer sibling: the same polycarbonate shell and 10-year warranty, but paired with a 28-inch checked bag instead of a 24, and a boxier shape that packs more. It ranks fifth of ten at $289.99. Buy it if you take long trips or pack for two people and want Samsonite reliability behind it. If a 24-inch bag is enough, the Omni PC saves you about $76.
Where it earns its score
- Reliability scores 92. The same top-tier reliability as the Omni PC, backed by Samsonite repair centers.
- Square design holds more. Boxy corners and an expandable shell give more usable volume than rounded sets.
- Brushed pattern hides wear. A scratch-masking finish keeps it presentable after baggage handlers.
- TSA locks on both pieces. Side-mounted combination locks come standard.
What to know first
- Single spinner wheels. Like the Omni PC, not double. The Delsey Helium Aero has eight wheels per bag for less money.
- Carry-on runs about 23 inches. With wheels, it is over some strict limits.
- Features score 72. No USB and only a basic handle.
- Value scores 80. The Delsey Helium Aero gives you a 28-inch set for $90 less.
Our verdict
The Winfield 2 2pc scores 83, a Good Buy, one point behind the Omni PC. Buy it if you want the largest Samsonite checked size with the same warranty and reliability. Buy the Delsey Helium Aero 2pc at $199.99 if you want a 28-inch set with double wheels and can live with a glossier shell.
