Gardena SILENO Life
Boundary-wire, quiet, 8,100 sq ft · Reviewed by Drew · amazon.com live, Sept 28 2026
Why it scored a 75
At $1,114.76, the SILENO Life steps in after Greenworks discontinued the Optimow 50H with no in-stock successor, and Reliability and Satisfaction lead the score — it's the best-reviewed boundary-wire mower still sold by Amazon at 4.2 stars across 342 reviews, and one of the quietest at 57 dB(A). Features is the clear drag: it covers 8,100 sq ft rather than the Optimow's half acre, runs on Bluetooth-only control with no Wi-Fi or GPS theft tracking, and is built on an older 2019 design.

Should you buy the Gardena SILENO Life?
The Gardena SILENO Life is for someone who is fine with laying a boundary wire in exchange for the quietest, most proven small-lawn mower still sold on Amazon. At $1,114.76 it ranks #10 of 10 robot lawn mowers, and it fills the gap left when Greenworks discontinued the Optimow 50H. It covers up to 8,100 square feet, mows in rain, and runs at 57 dB(A). If you want wire-free, the Segway Navimow i110N is cheaper and ranks higher; if you want a larger lawn covered, every unit above it does more.

- Warranty scores 66. Gardena's US coverage is estimated at 2 years.
Our verdict
The SILENO Life scores 75, Fair Buy, and it earns that as a quiet, dependable mower for a small lawn if you do not mind wire. For $180 less, the Segway Navimow i110N (83) is wire-free, covers a quarter acre and adds Wi-Fi; for most people that is the better buy.
